Eun-Me Ahn

This will be her first time at the Grand Théâtre, but Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn already made waves in Paris in 2013 and was invited back the following year by the Festival Paris Quartier d'Été, where she captivated audiences at the Théâtre National de la Colline with Dancing Grandmothers . It is with this eccentric piece, based on the indestructible energy of ten Korean grandmothers who join ten young dancers on stage, that she comes to Luxembourg. An exuberant production filled with flowers, stripes and polka dots, the modern urban world and Korean countryside, folklore and electro, movement and video, youngsters and elders; this is a unique performance that equates to a journey through time and movement. It becomes a collective trance that crosses boundaries and has the power to awaken and turn heads.
