Theaterzeitung September-October - Guest of the month

« A great occasion to remind people that Europe has its roots just here » : in the context of its application for European Capital of Culture, the team of Esch 2022 has revealed its project for the territory of Esch/Alzette, which has always been a land of immigration and mix of cultures. 

Sascha Ley and Hervé Sogne : between Luxembourg and Ottawa

The two artists have participated in the ‘ pépinière à projets’ organised in September in Ottawa by the ‘Commission internationale du Théâtre Francophone (CITF)’. These encounters are aimed (among others) at provoking the desire to collaborate between artists of the french speaking countries. Video testimonies from participants here and there.

Theaterzeitung June-September - Guest of the month

The Festival OFF in Avignon and its frantic rhythm hosts every year a play from Luxembourg thanks to the “Avignon Grant” given by the Theater Federatioun. It is a great opportunity for the artists of the Grand Duchy in spite of some limits which still remain. Read more here.

International Dance Day 2017

The American choreographer Trisha Brown, who passed away on March 18, is the author of the official message of the International Dance Day 2017 (April 29). A beautiful and personal text, which finds an undeniably universal echo.

Call for applications

In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Theater Federatioun is asking for applications for two grants for artists in the performing arts. They will participate in a two-week artistic laboratory in the Canadian region of Ottawa-Gatineau, which will take place from September 5th to September 17th 2017.

World Theater Day 2017

Each year an outstanding figure in theatre, in heart and spirit is invited to share his or her reflections on theatre and international harmony. This year the ‘International Message’ transmitted in all corners of the five continents, is written by the French theatre and cinema actress Isabelle Huppert.

World Day Theater for Children and young people

Children's World Theater Day is a great opportunity to perceive and listen to what young people think about theater and dance, and to ask ourselves: why not take a child to the theater?
