The cultural centre Mierscher Kulturhaus lies in the heart of the country, 25 kilometres from Luxembourg City, and is a place of artistic creation offering theatre and dance performances, concerts and artists residencies, exhibitions and workshops, as well as conferences and debates on current cultural and social issues. Not forgetting the programme for young people, the CAKU, that consists of artistic events for children from 2 to 12 years and that is being realised together with the CAPe in Ettelbrück.
The goal of the Mierscher Kulturhaus is to surprise and fascinate its audiences with all the different forms and facets of artistic creation and to offer a regional platform for national and international artists to express themselves. For several years, the Mierscher Kulturhaus has also been an active part of socially involved artistic projects that bring together professional artists and “sensitive” social groups (job seekers, persons with reduced mobility).
Founded in 2003 the Mierscher Kulturhaus works closely together with cultural houses and theatres in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
